Nikola Dunkelberg

M.A., LMFT

As a counselor, I strive to create an environment where every client feels seen, heard and understood. I take a client-centered approach- believing that the client is the expert of their own lives. I want to walk alongside you and be a support for whatever you need. Those areas can include: developing new mental health tools to improve quality of life, exploring hard issues, creating a healthier family or relationship dynamic, processing trauma, grieving past experiences or relationships or simply a place to learn more about yourself.

I have special experience in marriage and family counseling, Christian counseling and trauma therapy. In marriage & family counseling, I strive to teach people how to communicate effectively. I believe people can come away from a hard conversation feeling seen and understood even in conflict. Recently, I have undergone EMDR training- an evidence based therapy for treating trauma and PTSD.
