Esther Dark

M.A., LPC

The most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. My approach to building this relationship with you is that you are the expert of your own life. You have the deepest knowledge and years of experience with yourself! This is invaluable to our work together. I bring my own area of expertise to the table, including compassion, an ear to listen and understand, and various therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Seeking Safety (Skills for Recovery from PTSD and Substance Abuse).

There are so many parts of life that shape who we are, and how we see the world. From our childhood, parents/caregivers, traumatic experiences, and achievements, these all play a part in who we are today. It is my aim to help you unravel the web of these experiences and give you a greater sense of clarity and direction towards your goals and values.

Esther Dark is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Oral Roberts University. Esther is passionate about healing and recovery, and working specifically with EMDR and other evidence based modalities to process trauma and other life events.
